📘 About This Class

“Bread & Language: Persian” is an immersive, hands-on workshop where language meets culture through the art of food. In this unique class, you’ll bake traditional Barbari bread along with a Persian-inspired Pizza while engaging in intermediate-level Persian (Farsi) exercises. This experience designed for ILR 2/2+ learners.

  • 📖 Language Level: ILR 2/2+ (Intermediate)
  • 👨🍳 Hands-On: Make Barbari dough and bake it from scratch
  • 🗣️ Language Integration: Discussion prompts, reading passage, vocabulary & phrasebook

Cost: $40 per person ($20 for Military and Students)

  • 👋 9:00–9:15 AM – Welcome, warm-up language phrases
  • 📖 9:15–9:45 AM – Reading + discussion: The history of Barbari bread/Persian Pizza
  • 👩🍳 9:45–10:45 AM – Dough prep, shaping, and baking techniques
  • 🗣️ 10:45–11:15 AM – Guided language conversation activity
  • 🥖 11:15–12:00 PM – Bread baking, sharing, and closing discussion
